Windows BF3 Challenge - Bit-tech vs Aria cross community fight! [we won]

Challenge finished. Bit-tech/CPC won the friendly game.

My gameplay videos of the round, some are recorded half way through because i forgot to start recording before then. (stopped recording at end of round). wasn't the best gameplay because the stiff competition from Aria, but it just shows how effective a well communicating team can be.

Started with Seine Crossing. everyone did their bit and went around capturing all the points. was back and forth, but we managed to win.


Kharg island was the 2nd map, Aria was very very effective with their SOFLAM and javalin setup. we lost this round. hats off to them operating like pros and effectively using SOFLAM/CITV.


Grand Bazaar was a rape. DracaXL is a beast of LAV driver. out strategy came out as forget B (Alleyway) and use tanks to capture points, while the rest of the team defend objectives.


Finally we were actually dreading Firestorm because of the disaster on Kharg island. but because there is a lot more places to hide, we managed to hold points and won in the end.


good games, well played Aria boys, just need more practice . your SOFLAM/CITV proven to be very very effective against tanks. taken us by surprise.

As you may have read in the "General Battlefield 3 discussion thread" thread, WR1988UK (aka WhiteRider) & I are arranging an evening for the Bit-tech and Aria community to stage a little bit of friendly online warfare.

It will be staged on the CPC 32 player server on Sunday 11th December from around 6, so we are going to need 16 players to represent on the night, with hopefully a couple of reserves on standby in case someone's PC blows up from all the fragging.

I'm up for it! Maybe we can get a tag team sort of thing if there is alot of members from both sides wanting to join...So one person drops out and lets another join, or...If there is alot of members, maybe (I'm hoping) 32 players from each we can split it into 2 servers?..

@ Wyx being that we have nearly 32 players, would you be happy to play 2 x best of 5 so that everyone gets a game? I imagine that by the end of the weekend you'll have well over 30 as well and it would be nice if everyone could compete for theirm forum at some point.

I think that so long as we have started the first round in the first best of 5 match by 7pm, we should be finished by 9.

I know it'll be nice for whoever wins, but I'd be happier losing knowing everyone had played than winning and leaving people out.

Being that we'll have 2 x best of 5 rounds. How do you feel about both of us selecting 5 maps & modes each to make it fair? Then we can do it on the basis that you get the first map & mode, I have 2nd, you 3rd etc.

 

TDM is only 24 players. so it must be either Conquest or Rush. Rush need to be played twice for each map, so it'll be count as two rounds.

don't get ahead of yourself, let us figure out play list first!
