After seeing a few people giving away some prizes they've had in the marketplace and realising that lots of people will probably get gift games and voucher codes that they can't/wont use I though this might be an idea. (Admittedly the incredible generosity shown towards me by the community also made me think of you guys more than real life peeps). It makes sense to me to have it all in one place Should a mod think this better fits in the marketplace please move it

Nice and simple. If you get something you wish to giveaway make a post here saying what it is and work on a first come first served basis (the community spirit should keep things pretty fair I'd imagine). Sort out steam names and stuff through PM's and once it's gone just edit your post to say 'Gone - *forum member*'.

I've got a coupon for Left 4 Dead and a Valve 25% off (valid 2 Jan to 1 Mar) coupon. I don't really need either, but I'd be interested in Portal 2 if that was part of the aforementioned Portal bundle.

I too have a 25% off valve games voucher which I'll never use.

 

I have 50% off Valve games and 50% off brink vouchers laying around. I own all the Valve games I want and I own brink too so its of no use to me.

Edit: Looked at the Valve voucher. "Excludes titles released after January 2nd, 2012." hmmm.....

 

I wonder if you could combine those Valve vouchers? I can see it: Buying the most expensive Valve game at 133% off using vouchers making Valve owe *you* money. Works for me...

Good idea, I thought about doing a similar thing.

It would be good if there was a game\music\film swap shop. I find most DVDs I want rid of aren't worth selling, it would be nice to trade it for something else for the cost of postage.

The 33% off voucher is the standard one you get for just looking at your inventory, so everyone should have one of those anyway.

 

Apparently you can turn coal into gifts, so that might be worth your while?

Also, while everyone seems to have gotten a Valve voucher it seems to come in different values.

 

I'd save them up [7 gets you a 'prize' or you get one prize draw entry per piece of coal]... but if you still want to give them, i'll gladly have them.
