Hi guys This month I'll be putting together a new suite of GPU benchmarks which we use to test graphics cards and to a lesser extent motherboards, as well as building a new test system for doing so. In the past, we've been pretty arrogant about what games we test, often taking a "we know best" approach. This time, I want to ask you, the readers, what games you want to see us testing. Right now, the only nailed-on games are: BF3 Crysis 2 (DX11 pack and high-res textures) Skyrim (high res texture pack) So what other games would you like to see us testing? The Witcher 2? Sleeping Dogs? Hello Kitty Island adventure? firstly, some vetoes No ARMA2 - The latest patches have ruined performance, we need a game that isn't being patched every 3 days with huge game changing updates. No original Crysis - we use Crysis 2, old Crysis is old. Best suggestions will go to poll. So, what do you think?
I think Witcher 2 would be a great addition. It certainly demands quite a lot from the gpu and especially as the resolution gets higher.
This is an awesome idea, and whilst I ahve no suggestions right now I will be watching this thread. Subbed. Even more of an excuse for you not to come on BF3 with us!!
Sleeping dogs requires a bit of hardware to max out would be a decent test. Anno 2070 on max requires a lot of hardware once you push the map sizes Total war 2 CPU and gpu killer Flight simulater x everythin maxed requires insane hardware it's a CPU killer and is one of the few games coded for more than 4 CPU cores. Witcher 2 still requires sli or better to get 60fps stable
Will be watching this thread to see what get's suggested, as I am not aware of many games actually pushing hardware anymore since most of them are console ports.
Great work on getting community feedback but BF3 is the only game I really need tested. If it plays that, it plays everything.
Witcher 2 is a great bet, it's stable enough that they won't release any major updates in the near future. Also Wing Commander. That game had huge hardware requirements
Witcher 2 getting a lot of support, so count that as included. Would be good to have a racing game, but know they're not the most demanding. Would anyone really care if we added Dirt Showdown?
Just Cause 2 for the main reason that framerates can be compared with older DX10 cards and Sleeping Dogs caus well its epic.
We really need a proper Gran Turismo type game with a huge budget on PC, something to make our hardware weep uncontrollably. Codemasters are still using a pretty old engine for all these Dirt/Grid releases at the moment. Shift 2 is a better game but no more graphically demanding really.
