Can't say I really go for the "Finer things in life" - my motto is *normally* "Go cheap or go home". Obviously I don't go full-retard on pricing, but I don't see the point in buying a pen for £1 when I can get one for 50p (for instance). I am a fan of our local brewery though. Real ales win.
Watercooling + Lights + SLI 480's + Modded Side Panel = awesome tech porn And also my Synology DS211j NAS box - one of the best things I've ever bought. I would LOVE some quality headphones, but I only tend to use in ears.
Can anyone recommend some leather / wooden desk / letter tidy units? Aspinals are ok but I am sure that I have seen better!
Ooh, glad to see this thread back! Long, I've no idea on brand but just shop around for antique ones is all that I can suggest. My grandad has a brilliant old writing desk and I'm taking nicely to it.
I have had a look on eBay and there are some nice bits on there. I NEED MONEY! I quite like this for a start:
Some of the finer things I enjoy in my life: Material: - My fountain pen and good quality writing paper - A well configured, optimised desktop PC - My keyboard - Good scotch or any good quality spirit really - Good wine of all colours and styles - Books. I love books of all kinds. Imaterial: - Southern hemisphere sunsets.... I miss them - My health. - My family. I'm lucky I still have both sets of grand parents, I get on great with my mum and my dad, my step mum and sisters are cool... Compared to many in this department i consider myself blessed. - My friends. I don't have many but the ones I do have are worth their weight in gold. - My pets. I won't lie I prefer my cats to dogs but I wouldn't give them up for anything - Beautiful places in the world. I'm lucky enought o have seen a fair few. Sitting on the west coast of Australia with good food, wine and company thinking there was nowhere I would rather be was one of the best times of my life. Laughter - There isn't enough laughter in the world.
