So there has been lots of interest in trying a HHKB so I am thinking about sending mine on a little UK tour. I'm still not sure how it would work, the keyboard is not cheap and I don't want to be left out of pocket! I think that it would be fair to give each person 5 days with the board with a total of 5 or 6 members getting the chance to use it. I'm going to have to be harsh with who I trust my keyboard with but I think that there are a few of you who qualify.... So my question is, what do you think would be fair? Do I ask for a deposit from each person which is refunded once the board reaches the next person? Oh and here she is:
I should also mention that this doesn't feel like a standard HHKB2 as I have modified it with dental bands so it is quieter and smoother.
I am not interested in borrowing your keyboard - but if you need a keyboard, I am sending Fuus a TKL with clears on it to try for a week next week when I get back from france - if you want to get him to send it on to you I don't mind you keeping hold of it while your keyboard does the rounds, then you will not be without a keyboard!
Long, I would be interested in testing it, but not for the tour as I couldn't put forward the deposit at the moment. Do you go to the I-series? I'd love to have a go for a hour or so at this summer's event. I know George Storm goes as well.
Not another London meet! I think I might be able to make it this time as long as I'm not in South Africa (going for 3 weeks- 1 month in the school holiday to see family), so we may have to organise carefully. I could always gather a couple of us from Lancashire and we'll all get the train down. I'll have a think. With that done, I'd love to test the HHKB! I'll be glad to pay a good deposit amount but not sure what that should be. Edit: This meet doesn't just have to be keyboards. I'd be happy to bring headphones, pens, watches ect!
I'd be up for that, I'll be working near Stroud next year so should be able to pop into London in the evening/at a weekend for a bit
