85c/4minutes, no milk, no sugar (don't you dare !) & a teaspoon of clover honey. I suggest to use a good filter so there wont be any leaf left at the bottom of the cup, also do not infuse it for more than 5 minutes or it will taste awful.
Absolutely. And don't use re-boiled water. As for honey, mine comes from my own hive in the back garden. Did I mention that it won an award at the local honey show?
Philistine! Clover honey is too strong for a delicate tea. Try acacia honey, its much more gentle. Nexxo, no you didn't Congratulations
I've been called many things, but never a Philistine. BTW the Earl Grey is everything but delicate, it's a strong & manly, flavored with bergamot, citrus fruit and has a glorious smell of pepper.
I don't drink coffee for the taste dude and never have. I drink it for the turbo charger it kicks off in me. Thus I drink flavoured coffee with sugar (black though but only because I prefer it that way). Let's face it, coffee with no sugar tastes like ****. I'll take a nice baggy of Dunkin Donuts Hazelnut any day. Same goes for all these fancy teas. Earl Grey to me tasted like dish water. Rancid. Give me Yorkshire any day.
You just drink the wrong coffee. Try Monsoon Malabar, from Waitrose (not Sainsbury!) or preferably the Algerian Coffee Company in Soho, London.
I've had the best Blue Mountain at over $40 a lb and I have to have sugar in it. I just can't drink the sruff without sugar in it no matter how good it is tbh.
Coffee - depends on the coffee... some needs milk, some needs sugar, some needs both... Black tea - no milk Green tea - with milk *dons flameproof suit* Booze - undiluted... no mixers, no ice, no stupid paper umbrellas...
Earl Grey would be best cooked over a spit roast. His tea is best with a touch of milk or honey and a slice of lemon. Good coffee is best with double cream and demarara sugar. instant coffee should be avoided at all costs
Definitely a 'Cpt. Picard' (hot or cold), Green Tea (hot or cold) or Ceylon/Victoria milk tea (hot or cold). Pu'er can be nice but it MUST be fresh. Or Ali-shan oolong/black tea! /TW tourism board unofficial member
It seems to me nothing is conclusive! I can't see any logical reason to no have milk/ sugar in Earl Grey!
