The first few Resident Evils really were the best. I'm a fully grown adult and I still can't play Resident Evil 1 because it just scares the crap out of me. Something about the isolation and the background music seems to make that much scarier than the newer games in the series. And the voice acting was amazing.....ly bad, but still made the game IMO. +1 for Destruction Derby 2 as well!

I thought the guncon would only work on a CRT TV? I should set my PS1 up to see if it all still works, seems to be a phase I'm going through at the moment: I set my SNES up a few weeks back only to discover it's practically dead (a few reboots to get it to read the cart and then the sound fades out after a few minutes play). which means I'll have to try and get a replacement from somewhere. I set up my N64 on the weekend for my niece to play Zelda OoT.
No, apparently there aren't any lightguns that work properly with LCD's. The only types out there (none of which work with TC) are the Wii-style ones with IR sensors etc. So, basically, I'm hunting out a smallish CRT TV to keep around for retro gaming action.
Good to know, I'll have to have to try and keep my parent's old 32" CRT around for a while then (my brother nicked my old Sony CRT a few years ago for my niece and I think he offloaded it about a month back). It's a shame 'cos I've still got House of the Dead on the DC and Xbox and TC2 and Ninja Assault on the PS2.
