Gaming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Review

Halo was release in 2001. So after 13 years we've got a game with AI which "hardly rivals" that of something released on a machine with a 0.733 GHz CPU and 64 MB of RAM. gg guys.

 

After a breif foray into MW2 and it's attempt at multiplayer I think I'll stick with MW1 until dedicated servers make a return I think.

 

The faces in this game look odd as ****.

 

Just depressing.

 

So another year is over, hope you all fulfilled your cod-resolution to improve yourself more than the cod series.

 

Is 70% the new 45%?

 

Enjoyed the campaign (though the gunplay isn't as good as MW 1/2). Trying to play online on pc is a joke. Unable to matchmake on most game types. When I can get into a game, it's quite fun.

 

Stealth mode? Super-strong punches? Scooting round corners faster than the eye can see? Power jumping onto small buildings?

Crysis?

 

I haven't played cod since black ops, which was a massive disappointment - I see nothing to suggest things have changed since.

MW and MW2 were fun and refreshing, from a SP campaign point of view, but everything since has been tired and formulaic. Not just COD, either. MOH series is stale and BF3 was QTE hell - which put me off trying BF4. What was the term again? "the only thing worse than a cut-scene is a cut-scene you can lose", or something like that.

I'll probably pick them up in Steam sales when they're available for next to nothing - none of them are worth launch price IMO.
