"The Unreal Engine Developer Course - Learn C++ & Make Games." https://www.udemy.com/unrealcourse/ This course is heavily discounted until March 1st and I'm thinking of giving it a go. I haven't done any programming since college (in the days before object oriented programming) so it will be a steep leaning curve but might be fun. Has anyone here signed up?
It was £15 until the 19th of feb, and a few on here picked it up at that. It's showing as the full £195 for me atm though.
That's odd. It was showing as £10 on my PC last night but it's back to full price now when I looked on my phone.
Well the few that bought it on here to learn c++/UE spoke highly of it... plus if you are able to grab it for a tenner it's probably worth a punt...
It shows as £10 until 1st March for me. Quite tempted to pick that one up when I go home, could be quite a fun course. I've done a couple of Ben Tristem's courses on Udemy, he's a very easy to follow instructor and the other learners that I've spoken to on the courses have been quite knowledgeable as well.
here If i had €/$/£10 i might take you up on it, but right now it could be 10p and i still couldn't afford it.
Thanks. I need to get my head around the syntax but seeing while/do while loops mentioned took me back to Qbasic's "while...wend" loops. That syntax, though...
Yeah, I've just finished section two, its pretty good but the teachers have a habit of going off piste and failing to explain things. If your a beginner like me it can be a little difficult to follow without googling everything, if you know some code then you will probably find it easier. Worth bearing in mind its very heavily focused on the Unreal coding standard and I'm not sure how well that is going to translate to general c++ use. My background is 3d modelling so I'm hoping that will help me out later on.
Btw, thanks for mentioning the course being on discount. I've gone and signed up on this course now, I enjoyed the C# with Unity one that they published so looking forward to seeing how the C++ with Unreal differs. Though I might have to wait until later in March before I can spend any time on it as I'm a bit busy focusing on my driving test.
