I would still prefer to spend my money on a single, much more powerful card and not have to contend with poor, or non-existent, support for multiple cards in many games.

Praise the mince pies, Bit-tech finally acknowledges the aspect ratio of the gods:clap:

I have just upgraded to 3440 x 1440 and it really is something else! Would v much recommend it, although the support in games can sometimes be a bit iffy at the moment.

CF works quite regularly, though I had negligible benefit from a 3rd card except for one or two games, 2 cards was the sweet spot.

Only had a couple of games in my collection that didn't work, tended to be stuff that was fast single card anyway like Assetto Corsa, newer DX12 titles seems to have shafted Multi GPU though.

But really, full 4k or more, none of this half measure ultrawide :p ;)

I'd rather see the resolution go up on ultrawides than go back to a narrow aspect ratio.

    Agreed!

I'm currently using an LG34UC98, sitting in front of any none ultrawide monitor now is painful! I'd love to upgrade to the 38UC99 but I just can't justify the extra cost atm.

Really poor!!! - this is just an advert.

Testing crossfire is fine, but don't just do it in the the one game AMD told you to do it with. Do it with a selection of games. Test frame times as they frequently suffer with multi-card and xfire in particular has done very badly in the past. Show single card alternatives (e.g. a 1070 or 1080).

It doesn't take a genius to guess if they tell you to only test one game then that might just be because all the other games out there don't work as well. So much for unbiased independent journalism...

And it is openly declared as such at the very start of it.

I've said it before, but I'd rather see these advertorials posted in a separate section rather than in with reviews and other non-commissioned pieces. Just blurs the lines a bit imo, even with the disclaimer at the start.

There is a huge disclaimer at the start, people don't have to read it. Chill out everyone.

I can see where you're coming from, but I can't imagine bit-tech really makes a killing from advertising. As long as these articles remain well signposted, I'm happy if the site keeps running!

I know that Anfield's addressed this, but learn to read, man. I'd forgive you if it was only mentioned in passing halfway through the article, but it is mentioned in italics at the start AND the end of the article.

Unfortunately, it's not as though review sites swim in money. They need help and this is a side effect.

Yep, bit have been totally above board about it, and have taken the time to do the crossfire review. I'm confident they haven't massaged the results, they just ran their tests and reported on them. And as fingerbob69 (can only really remember fingermouse from fingerbobs) said, they can always run a really, really short 1060 SLI review too.

I would hope now you have these set-up in crossfire you will be doing a proper review on the benefit/drawbacks and giving us a proper recommendation on whether Crossfire RX580's are actually a serious option for more than just prey?
