    Worked perfectly thanks for that.
But I realised that I actually had this information bookmarked, doh. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=551069501&tscn=1447077828

Better ! do the terminals behave OK?

I've been hammering FO4 for the past three days. Put in around 10 hours. I have it DSR to 4k, Titan XP runs it beautifully !

It is beautiful and far better than I had it running before reinstall.

This is a strange game as I have not used Vats, I have upgraded very few weapons, I have only ever used chemicals like stim and the radiation ones. Seems so much is unnecessary to play and enjoy the game.

What does DSR to 4K mean?

DSR = Dynamic Super Resoluton. Basically allows you to run games at higher resolutions than your monitor. Very clever tbh.

Tried that and was not impressed. It seemed to throw things slightly out. When I am checking for stuff in boxes ETC I had to point slightly off before the contents list showed. Reverted back to 34440 x 1440

You need to make sure that whatever resolution you run that you preserve the aspect ratio. I would imagine that's pretty difficult on a super wide monitor tbh.

NP. You are probably better off leaving it alone tbh. I have my Titan XP clocked quite hard (2050 usually) and it barely keeps me above the 50s at 4k with a lot going on. Problem you have is the width. That will add some serious pixel savagery.

    It can work:

Go to Nvidia Control Panel, Manage 3D Settings, Global Tab, DSR Factors, select whatever DSR Factor you want and hit apply below.
Then select the new resolution option that appears in the game.
If you do it that way DSR never creates any additional problems with aspect ratio, just stay away from the horrible Geforce Experience thing.

The problem is that it is mostly pointless:

Games old enough for decent performance at 6880x2880 often don't even know how to handle 16:9, much less 21:9, plus some games simply can't handle high resolutions at all as regardless of aspect ratio the UI scaling breaks down and and you would need a microscope to read any thing.

And in recent games DSR is worthless on an ultrawide as 6880x2880 is more than double the pixels of 4K, so you'll end up with like 10FPS.

And what would the fun be in using a low DSR Factor like 1.5 or 2?

Random screenshot of a game where both 21:9 and 6880x2880 works perfectly fine out of the box:

Which is exactly the way I did it but as I say things were slightly off centre so reverted to default resolution and It look great since I changed the FOV settings.

Wow, it really works for that ! I thought that was one of the most basic looking games I had played in a long time :D

Fallout 4 definitely benefits from 4k. I think it makes the graphics acceptable, rather than simply not being good enough. And when I drop to 1440p I can really see a huge difference. Unfortunately my new TV rig only has a Fury X in, which is simply not good enough to VSR to 4k. It does 1440p admirably though, though it's certainly nowhere near as good as my Titan XP @ 4k.

I think the graphics are great at 3440 x 1440 with Fallout 4 far better than some newer games I could mention. Pity that it needs a bit of faffing about to get the game to play nice with a 21:9 widescreen.
