Happy with DR getting the win, but that was the worst Monaco race I’ve seen yet. Monaco is special, historically, but it just doesnt work with modern F1 cars - time for a change.
Historical value and the full circus show are the only reasons Monaco has to be in F1. As a final show, that'd be fine... as part of the season, they can just call results after quali. The race was SO boring. The only interesting thing to happen was a (to me impressive) display by Leclerc on how to scrub speed when your breaks are gone.
The F2 race was pretty good. Donno how you make Monaco exciting apart from throwing an unknown variable into it. Unfortunately rain doesn't create the same image as the sun Kissed Yacht in the harbour. Maybe get the drivers to do it in Karts instead of their normal cars and see who truly i the greatest.
I think one half the cars should race clockwise and the other half of the cars anti clockwise that would add "ALOT" of excitement
Compared to F1 F2 already is pretty much Karts, so maybe just have them race in F2 cars (an extra wrinkle, they have to use the actual cars used in the F2 race, no repairs allowed, which one they get is raffled off).
Or have them race in their parent company/engine supplier's city rollerskates... Merc/FI/Williams - A-class Ferarri/Haas/Sauber - Fiat 500/Alfa Guilietta Renault/RBR/McLaren - Renault Clio Torro Rosso - Honda Civic
I honestly would be far more excited for Monaco if it was F1 drivers in F2 cars or something more throw away. Throw them in stock cars and have crashtor as a guest driver.

Not really news, Ferrari have been getting their customers to jump out of the way for years, so what if Merc do the same?
And RBR/Torro Rosso. I'm more surprised that people are surprised that merc did it than i am surprised that Merc did it.
Not so much surprised more that it was so openly accepted. In the case of TR, Haas and Sauber they're never really racing for top 6 or have a hope of defending the position at that point in the race so let the faster car go rather than compromising later race gains. Over the years a few drivers have fought, Verstappen comes to mind tho mostly their own ambition is enough to give up the place without much resistance.
Sauber told Checo to back off and hold second place in Malaysia 2012 when he was chasing down Alonso, his team reminded him of the value of the runner up spot (and probably their engine deal).

Normally I would never like to see a talented young driver get sucked into the murder scene that is the RBR young driver programme, but given the shitshow that McLaren is right now, and what happened to Perez, Magnussen and now Vandoorne during their stints, that might actually be a better choice for Lando...
This just makes me dislike TR more. I like Hartley, And while he isn't having the best season he by far not the worst driver out there. I would asusme the amount of money hartley brings into the team from sponsorship is comparatively low compared to what other drivers bring to teaks in worse positions to TR i/e Stroll
