I'm looking for a cnc machinist who has a lot of experience with acrylic and who is capable of machining two sides of a small acrylic sheet within tight tolerances. My current supplier is unable to cut a channel on one side and cut the cap head screw holes on the other side. I've asked around at industrial places that do medical supplies and such and the part would end up being $1000.
Surely they can set up a fence or reference fixture, machine the channel, then flip over and realign to drill the holes for the cap heads? I do that all the time on my machine. What side of the pond are you on?
They say they can't on smaller parts. It wouldn't be a problem if I had the room for dual layers, but I'm extremely limited for space. I'm in California but I'll have it made anywhere that can do it properly.
