    Transport Shapps.

    Did nothing about the ferries.
Did nothing about the fuel prices.
    Did nothing about the airports.
    Did nothing about the trains.

What did he do in Transport, buy himself a new ebike or something?

    As the man said:

It started long before Sunak took the reins at No. 11.

Of course it did but I don't think those are records he should have aimed to keep breaking.

He also was at the reins as FTSE 350 company profits soar by over 70% as people's belts are tightened to strangle point driving inflation and blaming underpaid workers for it.

Plus as chancellor there was also the green card, paying tax in your own country business.

None of this is to say Truss is better. Unless you like someone who spends taxpayer money taking thousands of selfies, ditching G20 meetings and dislikes importing cheese. There are no good options.

Edit: As a side note I started writing "as tights are beltend" rather than "as belts are tightened". Not sure how relevent that is or what it means.

As dumb as it sounds, I imagine it's to win over the flag shaggers enthuisiastic patriots. The ones who insist Britain is the best in the world for everything. Looks daft to people with sense. Annoyingly though, the other points are vague waffle.

So the ones that were never going to vote Labour anyway?

The people that might be swayed by this ****, won't be bc they don't think Starmer/Labour believes it.

The people put off by this ****, just well might be bc they suspect 'Red Tory'/'Balirite' or whatever Starmer deep down does believe this ****.

And anyone undecided will probably look at what Labour and the Tories are saying and conclude

More likely the for the ones that turned away from Labour, y'know, because of what they said about Brexit being slightly bad for them, and because of those lovely sounding promises from that posh git (who must be British with that accent, no way he could be murican).

@RedFlames my thoughts were along the same lines as @blackerthanblack

All in all, I don't mind them playing the plastic patriotism card because I don't think all of the people targetted by it are only staunch conservative voters in all honesty. It's ****, but like i said previously, at least there's a reason for it, unlike the other vague waffle they listed.
I despise the patriotic BS, but I'd rather they do it and win votes than not do it and not have the votes. At the end of the day, I'd rather judge them on what they achieve if they get into government. Currently with the Conservatives, their on going goal seems to be solely to lower the bar, so I'd rather see them out even if I have to listen to that rubbish.
Still hoping for a labour/libdem coalition to force through PR, and then maybe a decent amount of time afterwards to allow Scotland to see if a more representative UK government works for it. Doubt that will happen, but I can dream.

KS really saying never rejoining the single market or customs union?

What stupidity is that, even some Brexiteers pre vote said we wouldn't be leaving the single market (yes they said we would/would not be doing everything but still).

FFS. I hate this voting system.
