Hi there Bare with me, but my knowledge in electronics is not very good. I am making a thermally controlled fan control, and i am using the "Bells and whistles" version depicted at the end of the page depicting here: http://www.cpemma.co.uk/thermal.html My question is very basic.. I'm using some variable resistors /potentiometers, and i am making the circuit in Eagle, as i have access to PCB-making equipment. However, connecting the pot is proving troublesome - what pin should be connected to what? - the picture at the HP shows an arrow facing towards the pot, but eagle shows a leg (the middle one) with a stocking/ the letter T at an angle. From what i've read, the middle pin should be the output pin - but it confuses me that the drawing on the HP depics the arrow facing towards - like its the input pin?! Can someone help demystify this? Thank you in advance
the middle pin is the arrow in the diagram, the other two can go any way. the arrow facing in is just to show you its the middle pin.
