Because I am (can't believe I am saying this) not much of a fan of PC Gaming. I enjoy the more laid-back Console world that exists on my couch in front of my TV. Just need to replace my 360, so I can utilise all my 360 games again... Don't get me wrong - some games belong on the PC, and I do enjoy a bit of PC Gaming, but I find myself playing console games (when I had a console, that is) WAAAAY more.
I ordered mine with Gameplay and they dispatched it yesterday @ midday hopefully get it today!!!! Heres a PC review at PCGAMER http://www.pcgamer.com/2010/09/22/f1-2010-review/ Seems a mixture of arcade and sim. Im sure it will be fun.
It's just not the same. Besides - I really do play very few PC games in general. I just need to get my arse in gear and buy a new 360.
The wife has text me to say mine has arrived. Sods law its the day im unable to finish work early. gonna be around 6pm before I get a go cant wait thought
lol damn how many of us are here on these forums and don't you lot say too many ok lol Also when is the PC version out
Ive played the 1st 2 tracks Bahrain/melbourne in the force india. Graphics are very good, good lighting, rain effects are spot on but there is a surprise amount of grip(havn't played in a downpour yet tho) Tracks are accurate to real life! Im used to Rfactor/Simbin simulations btw. Few points on handling(using the 360 controller). On expert mode it is twitchy on slow speed corners but not often its a bit random.(prob to do with tyres not being warmed up) Plus you have to have full lock on to really cause a spin out. The sense of speed is realistic but the acceleration could do with some camera movement to create some propulsion. Same under braking. With ABS assist off its no different, you can plant the brake and it will never skid Its great fun spotting the braking zones and touching apexes to get out of the corner. The suspension effect is good when going over curbs and bumps and feeling through force feedback. As many reviews have said its a mixture of arcade and sim. Its no full on sim for hardcores though. Everything aside i've found it very fun. Best bits are starting on the grid and overtaking the AI for me.
Grrr... first there were game shops that may or may not get the game on release date (Gamestop in Ireland hasnt ordered any PC versions) then there was buy online with postal delivery which ment ya got it cheap but had to wait two weeks. This was solved with direct download so you could get games first by predownload and activation on release. Then amazon went and pwned everyone.... Buy online but we'll ship it so you get it the day of release whisch is really the day before release. Fook you steam, I WANNA PLAY NOW!!!!!!!
Its very good, ok who drove a lap of sliverstone and forgot about the new part of the track and turn left instead of going right, pfft me. Dont like new track, Karoan i think it was.
