After the fan issues with the MSI GTX 970, I would never go MSI for my GPU again.

You must have had bad luck. I bought the same GPU very soon after it became available. My MSI GTX 970 has worked excellently, and continues to do so.

I ended up getting this graphics card with my recent upgrade bundle, mostly because it was on a daily deal for just over £400 at the time. Really nice that the card is pretty much silent as the fans only spin up when it gets warm (I think most of the new cards to this now) and even then they're quieter than anything else inside my machine so I don't ever notice it.

It's more than enough of an upgrade over my old GTX 670 for my current monitor and selection of games. However, If the price drops when the 1080ti comes out I may end up picking a second one.

Bought this at the weekend to replace my MSI GTX 970 - what a difference! Time to upgrade to 2 x 1080p monitors I think to 2 x 1440p...

1070's still too expensive for me, roll on the £300ish versions.
