    Hey All

I finally got my Shuttle and I cant spend any more money on anything else

    I have a AMD 2800+ XP, 512 RAM, 80 7200rpm HD and a 5600XT Graphics Card..

IS it possible to OC a 5600XT?... If so.. How?

:duh: nVidia pulled another dirty trick in case you missed it, 5600XT is slower than the 5600 (and also 5200ultra BTW) which in turn is slower than the 5600ultra which is about even with a Radeon 9600Pro. Your card will really choke your PC when you try to game, you've got a long way to go to get good perf. Here's the diffs ...

    FX5600XT . . 235/400 940Mp/s 6.4GB/s
    FX5600 . . . . 325/550 1300Mp/s 8.8GB/s
    FX5600ultra1 350/700 1400Mp/s 11.2GB/s
    FX5600ultra2 400/800 1600Mp/s 12.8GB/s

    Doubt it.

unless your fx5600xt can oc to regular 5600 speeds by ocing then you can flash to a regular bios.

Dl coolbits to oc btw its very efficient. Its just a patch to unlock your drivers built in ocing tools.

Just google the software its actualy a registry patch.

 All those 5600 cards should use the exact same core and archy only differing in clock speeds, so in theory (and theory only) if it could do the higher clocks speeds it should flash fine. With the same cooling all their cores stand a decent chance of hitting around 400mhz so it's really the RAM that's likely to limit you. The XT's 400mhz is a much slower clock than the rest so that's unlikely but there may be some chance for the 5600 (std) which uses 550mhz. The 5900XT have a much slower clock than the 5900ultra but some people managed that, but perhaps nVidia downclocked some Ultras to fill demand? It is certainly a gamble.
