Such a stupid comment, as others have said that attitude could be taken towards any activity.

    On the one hand, yes.

On the other hand, I don't have to put up with wall-to-wall coverage, universal presumption of interest, and having "any activity" thrust forcibly into my face on a daily basis, as I do with football.

Bollocks to football and bollocks to the foghorning cretins who like it, say I.

I think reviewers across the web need to do two seperate reviews. One review for new comers to the series (ie someone who hasn't played any Football Manager games before). One review for someone who has played at least one installment of the series, so that they know whether it is worth buying or just stick with fm2010, fm2011 for example. This can be done on all sports titles (fifa, madden, nhl, etc) since they are basically the same game with updated players/stats; and the odd 1 or 2 new features.

Still playing FM2010 as QPR, in year 2022. Was thinking of getting FM2012 since my beloved QPR are now in the premiership but then it won't really be much of a challenge, except avoiding relegation the first season. At least with the older FM's you could get some staff in place and decent players and be ok with your first season in premiership.
