    I haven't bothered reading the revised version but does anyone know if they've even got the basics right? Have they managed to explain what an Internet Connection Record is.

    I don't think even the people who wrote it have read all 800 [iirc] pages...

    From what I've seen, pretty much all they've done is add 'Privacy' to some of the headings... and those are essentially the only time the word 'privacy' appears...


    Privacy is Surveillance... 1984 was a how-to guide...

    1984 was more like a beginners guide, like those dummies books or a "my first surveillance state" book. :p

    At least it's going to provide us with endless stories of the ICR database being breached by hackers and prominent figures having their browsing history splashed all over the place.

    Should be fun to see some of the websites ministers, business figures, and celebs have been visiting along with who they've been communicating with.
