So I'm trying to install XP on a machine for someone who's fed up with Vista. I've tried to convince them not to switch and just let me remove all the HP crap ware and get the laptop running smooth but there insistent. But when i went to install XP after i had inserted the CD loaded into the Windows format and copy screen it says that a HHD has not been found? Has HP locked down the HHD so you can't install an another OS onto the laptop. Much help would be appreciated.
I'm pretty sure i think i know what it is actually, i think i might need to check to see if the laptop has got a SATA HHD and probably will need to install some drivers before i load the install screen.
