i bought the logitech x-530 5.1 speaker systems a few weeks ago and they seem to be pretty good with listening to music and dvds, ect. but when i play games in 5.1, namely CS:S i get crackling noises when people speak and in the main screen of HL 2 when the sounds play. it is wierd because i can turn my speakers all the way up while listening to music and it is still cystal clear. please help this is annoying me. my sound card is the creative soundblaster live! 5.1. oh and when i put the speaker settings in CS:S to a 2 speaker config the cracking noise stops.....does anyone know why it would do this?
before penski sees this... creative are not the best for drivers. They are riddled with problems. Try looking at other brands. But yeah, update drivers first.
When I said drivers I meant ALL creative drivers. I had an audible difference (an I mean stageringly audible) when I switched to linux and used OS drivers.
I think we should ban him from all threads containing the word Creative, just to save our souls <A88>
found drivers for it but creatives site is being gay and download wont start. im open for suggestions: what would you guys here on bit-tech recomend as a nice new sound card. birthday is coming up so in the range of $100-$200
