Windows Media Center and Recorded Shows

    im uninstalling vista and going back to MCE i would like to keep the shows i recorded is it possible??

    Basically, unless you back them up onto some removeable media, no, becuase you can't downgrade from Vista to MCE.

    If you do back them up, then it's a simple matter of copy and pasting them back into the recorded TV directory.

    Is the file format any different though? That would cause an issue if MS have changed the dvr-ms files for Vista.

    i know i cant downgrade and i know i have to put themon removable media...but where are they stored

    nvm after searching alot of directories i found in the shared documents under recorded tv...i thought it would have been in my docs not shared
