Seeing as theres a "post your *" pics thread in every other section of the forum, I see no reason why we shouldn't have a sticky here too My toys: Pathos ClassicOne mk2 ProAc Response 1SC Marantz CD63 - heavily modified DH Labs BL-1 IC DH Labs T-14 speaker cable, biwire Target MR60 stands Custom mains cables
As if we here, and on AVForums, haven't seen enough? Mine: Yamaha RX-V357 AV Amplifier (5.1), powering Sony bookshelf fronts (100w each), Mission M2C center, and Mission M70 rears. The rears:
Haha Okay maybe i went a *tad* OTT last time Also- MGS45(or something) Don't you find having the centre speaker off-centre affects the sound stage?
My Hifi is basically my HTPC and my HTPC is basically my main machine, which is my laptop . Dell d series docking stations handily have a PCI slot so when i dock my laptop beside my TV the sound switches to use the m-audio 24/96 in the pci slot and switches to using the DVI on the back of the docking station. The m-audio card is hooked up to my yamaha amp. For speakers i have two sony bookshelfs and sennheiser hd595s for headphones. It's not in the same league as many of the other ones that will be posted but i think it's a pretty impressive all in one type setup.
Snap! Shall post pics of my measly setup one day. It's nothing compared to tad's kit though (for a CD-amp combo).
M-Audio revolution 7.1 B&K ST-202 Exodus 261s Tempest 15" ported sub tuned to 18hz Flexirack (unfinished) The rack, speakers and subwoofer are handmade by myself.
looks like it's time for a new TV maximumshow I think you've won gargantuan speakers of the eternity award. I doubt my z-5500's count as hi-fi, and we all probably know what they look like.
M3G4.. Yeah, and so does having the left speaker partially hidden, but I guess its making the best of the space you have. Move along the sofa in front of it and soundstage is fine
My main Hi-Fi. CD Player - Meridian 506.20 Turntable - Thorens TD-160 Tonearm Rega RB-300, Cartridge - Benz Micro MC Silver Musical Fidelity X-LPS Amplifier - Electrocompaniet ECI-4 Speakers - Kef Reference 104/2 Power Cables from Supra Interconnects from Wireworld and Van den Hull.
Not my system but i thought i would post it. Just spent the evening listening too it. Wonderful system with great synergy and its just had a van den hul grasshopper white beauty added to the deck!!! Expensive but worth it.
I am re-doing the cabling (Routing, not buying) etc at the moment, will post Pics when it's finished Nothing special, but it suits the room nicely CD:- Marantz CD-4000 Amp:- Rotel RA-971 Speakers:- Wharfedale something or other (Looking for a Pair of Mission 753's)
Dom I know it's not your sytem but maybe you can explain, in that picture I see a pre/power amp combo of the new naim stuff but then their are also three boxes of the old name stuff how many speakers is he driving off it becasue I only see two.
3 of the olive boxes are power supplies, two are hicaps and one is an armageddon. The hicaps power cd and preamp i think and the napsc powers the digital circuitry in the pre amp too (the small black box). The armageddon powers the turntable above. Only the one set of speakers (sbl's) are driven by the system.
