Cannot get my brain into gear hence my thread. What I want to do is wall mount a 5 port switch which obviously does not come with the necessary screw hole facility on the back. I am sure I saw some self adhesive wall anchors which a screw will fit into but for the life of me I cannot find them again.
Resolved far easier than I thought. Short length of 40 x 15mm timber screwed to wall. Timber removed and covered in a bit of faux leather to match desktop. Double sided tape on switch which adheres very nicely to the faux leather. Job done.
For future reference, the Cisco SBS switches are wall/panel mountable. I have installed countless SG100D-05 and SG100D-08 models over the past few years.
Oh no I understood, the SBS switches are fine for home use as well. I was just suggesting a small switch model which is wall mountable out of the box in case you are ever in need of another one.
Ah, I bought this because it was cheap and needed something in a hurry plus 5 ports is more than enough. The switch it is replacing could be wall mounted and it should have occurred to me to have checked. But it looks fine as I have mounted it so no harm done.
