Someoen mentioned that it would be awesome to have 2 x 7950.

Dont you think one 7950 is enough to be awesome?

    lol, interesting post.

1 is pretty good, 2 would be almost awesome, a 8800GTX would be better, 2 8800GTXs in SLI, now that would be awesome! ;)

i have a 7950 gx2, basically.. id rather have 2 ^,^ one is enough to have max settings in everything except F.E.A.R. where it struggles ever so slightly with AA/AF and soft shaddows, but with a lowered resolution (1024*768) its fine. Qaud Core ***

Hmm I thought that was a general nvidia issue with its drivers that you can't have AA/AF with soft shaddows [although I could be getting mixed up with something else...]

it could well be, i play with 8x AA and 16x AF and everything is hunky dory, Volumetric lighting maximum and everything, plays nice and smooth, but once i put soft shaddows on it causes these millesecondal pauses every few seconds =S

I heard the new 8800 series consumes huge amount of power. 8800 GTX even has 2 6 pin connectors. Is so much power really necessary. Imagine if u were to SLi it. I dun think any power supplies even support that.

A 8800 gtx needs a 450 watt power supply. There are power supplies that go up to 1000 Watts so I'm sure they would be able to support sli for the 8800 series.
