Hardware AMD Athlon II X2 250 CPU Review

    thats AMD cool n quiet. go in your bios and turn it off.


    anyways, i have this cpu and got it stable @ 3.5ghz. voltage is stock. any suggestions on what to change to get it higher? i had it at 3.75ghz but it wasnt stable at all.

    1.4V core voltage but keep an eye on temps, a bit more HT voltage - but keep an eye on that clock speed, you may need to drop a multiplier.

    ive seen results of people getting it at 4.5ghz+

    i was hoping to get to 4ghz.

    my motherboard is a garbage ASUS motherboard. the voltage settings just have +50mv, +100mv etc... its really stupid.

    I get about 23.5s in SuperPi 1M, currently at 3.5ghz.


    also I'm running stock cooler it idles at 30C and goes up to 38C - 40C while running Prime95.
