    Maybe they don't have a bug bounty program for macOS because they're a bit strapped for cash. o_O ;)

    They don't have a bug bounty program because:

    That would require them to care about macOS [they don't]
    It would require them to put their hand in their pocket [they won't, they're reportedly quite stingy on the bounties they do pay compared to Google et al. leading researchers to not bother reporting them to Apple].
    They're still labouring under the delusion that their wares are an impregnable bastion of security and that things like this only happens to Windows [it doesn't].

    Cue an Apple Press release either denying there's a problem or some 'you're holding it wrong', 'feature, not bug'-eque fob-off.

    I'd be surprised: Apple's modus operandi is to quietly fix it in the next release without ever admitting it was there.

    I'm surprised that in one release Apple can overhaul the way their entire filesystem works, and then in the next make such trivial changes as these!

    Almost as surprised as when Windows updates manage to screw up my machine while adding absolutely no noteworthy features...
