where's the best place to pre-order brink?

I'm planning to get it from steam cos the pre-order bonuses seem better than from play.com ,etc

 

shopto.net is the cheapest I've found it. (£22.85), and it has a release day guarentee.

 

Is there a way to see what the pre-order bonus items look like or do? So I can decide where to get it from

 

D2D has it for 30 quid plus a 25% discount. you can also see the bonus items on the game's page.

 

ah kool...same bonus pack as amazon which is £5 cheaper. I dunno whether to buy from shopto.net or another CD retailer or just get from steam. If the bonus weapons/scopes give better advantage then would be worthwhile for extra price otherwise not...hmm choice choices

Man I was really excited about this game, but after watching gameplay video after gameplay video the game play speed just seems too slow. It's like your character is running in mud. Looks like it takes half a clip to kill someone as well.

I guess we'll see after release.

 

I think it will be a refreshing change.

Damn straight, I'm looking for something a little different to the now "norm" of middle-eastern conflict with ultra realistic style and what not.

I want a fun, team-based game. That's all. This seems to have enough fresh ideas in it that it will fit the bill perfectly.

 

Any plans for a demo? No way I'm paying before I play.

 

There has been no word of a demo or BETA thus far and unlikely to be one as is the current trend sadly, despite the game being finished.

I'm going to be writing a review for ZiiP for release and no doubt there will be one here. As well as there being plenty of reviews from Stateside since it is released there 3 days before Europe.

reviews are helpful, but a demo would be 1000x better, can you recommend a good review site ?

 

Trust me, I would love to see a demo for this, I am going a bit on blind hope here at the moment, but reckon I have seen enough to warrant it.

That being said, I would like to see a resurgence in the releasing of Demos in general, none of this "BETA" bulls***.

I trust Bit-Tech reviews and I will be doing one myself as well, but needless to say, they won't be until just after release (unless pre-release copies are an option).
Have a gander for some good american ones. Alternatively, try Australian as I belive they are also getting it on the 10th as well.

its exactly why i'm interested in this game, its like to play something "different" bcos i really get tired of us vs the rest of the world mp fps games.

i used to play Shattered Horizon (473 hours according to steam) but the community is pretty much dead now so i'm looking for a new "alternative" fps)

 

Reviews suck and are nothing compared to playing the game hands on.

I'll probably pirate it to see if I like it. Or maybe they'll give you early beta with purchase like BC2

 

if they do that just order it off play and cancel the order if you don't like the beta, unlikely at this stage though. maybe a quick pirated go on SP will give you an idea what its like.
