Just bought a set of Holesaws for a fiver ! yes, that's right, £5 including the drill arbor.

it's got 5 different size holesaws in the box, and although I haven't measured them yet, pretty sure that includes a 120, a 92, an 80 and a 60.

    not bloody bad eh ?

I'll try em out this week, and if they actually work....I'll buy some more and sell em onto yer....:D

    Sizes update

The sizes of the 5 holesaws in this kit are:

    2.5" (64mm)
    3" (76mm)
    3.5" (89mm)
    4" (102mm)
    5" (127mm)

Do you think these will be suitable for making blowholes of 80, 90 and 120 mm ?

I know the holesaws they sell at Tekheads are not precisely 80, 90 or 120 - is the reason because you can't get em or you need a little clearance ?

They're not the same size as the fans, because with an 80mm fan, it is 80mm from edge to edge.

You only want to cut a hole out the size of the blades which is a bit smaller.

So the 76mm and the 89mm will be ok for doing 80 & 92mm holes ?

Are you sure they are designed for metal and not wood?

Bought em from a hardware stall at a local market

They probably are designed for wood...I have no idea about holesaws....do you reckon they'll cut through steel then ?

What you need is to get friendly with a guy who has either a laser cutter or a plasma cutter or both :) then you can do some serious modding
