methinks that you like the odd tot of whiskey?

never felt the need to branch out into other spirits?

actually getting onto whiskey, im not really a fan, but have recently been sampling the wonders of a whiskey sour (whiskey lemon juice and sugar syrup) , that is a wonderful drink on a hot day :)

Ooh can I point out his mistake this time Linear?

It's "Whisky" cos it's of the Scottish variety ("Whiskey" being Irish).

I'll post a pic of mine in a mo. Should have done it the other day before I had a BIG clearout. So many half empty bottles of Tequilla and JD???

i dunno if writing in a different dialect can be called a mistake. Its simply the way ive always spelt it. And as it happens i prefer Oirish whiskey to scottish whisky anyhow. :)

Oh, no, I have a small selection of other stuff, a big Ketel One vodka, some premium tequilas, a couple odd cordials I got for gifts, some Grand Marnier (including a bottle of the cuvee cent-cinquantenaire I got in the US Virgin Islands to celebrate the birth of my son). That's just the good stuff in the pic mostly.

    *chink* :thumb:

This is most of what I have right now after the clearout (I've run out of Amaretto :eeek: ). There's all sorts of stuff JD, Vodka, After Shock, Ouzo, Absinthe, Violet Liqueur, "To-kill-ya", Mead (not spirits), Zulu42 (vodka in a spray can), etc...

I was going to crop it, but then realised that in the background you can just about see one of the "beer trophies" I've picked up along the way with my drinking. Can you spot it? ;)

Not spirits, but I also found an old bottle of this:

    :D

So, what Tequila's you like best Linear? I got to be mates with the head barman at the local Santa Fe which was handy. Nice cocktails, fairly cheap and 16 different types of Tequila (which we went through in one evening) including a £12 a shot one that tasted just like Jack Daniels! We quite liked the Añejo (aged) ones, especially 1800 Reserva. Need to know more nice Tequilas cos so many are pretty nasty.

    Yep, Añejo is the keyword.

Herradura was extraordinarily difficult to obtain for a while, then it got kind of common here. That's a fave of mine. I haven't tried their selección suprema yet. I prefer darker to lighter in general. Um let's see, Patron, that's nice, I dunno, I like about anything that's 100% agave and añejo. I drank my share of crappy tequila back in the day (ate the worms, etc.) and I'd rather stick to the better stuff. I liked one I had on a business trip, el Grito (I think?).

Anyway, order a herradura next time. I'm sure you'll dig it.

Somehow we got that thing the whole 7 miles from Reading town centre back to my house via taxi and no-one said a word. The taxi driver even helped me get it out when we got home!! If you can't tell from the pic it's bleedin MASSIVE! :hehe:

It's lived down by my PC's for the past 4 years now. No-one seemed to miss it :worried:

    Is the Mead Lindisfarne Mead?

If so - It's made about 10 miles down the coast from here...and there used to actually be a shop and stuff in Berwick that was exclusively for it :/

Dunno if the shop is still there.

Penski:~ Yeah, that's the stuff. Better not let my mate Ayla know about that. She'd camp outside and drink the place dry!

Sam:~ I'm ashamed to say it is, but you may also tell (from the gaping black holes in the front) it's completely gutted and has nothing left inside (there's even an HMV "this box is empty" sticker on it). It's only sitting around cos I can't get it to the tip and I'm convinced more bits of it might be useful one day.

To the right hand side you can almost see my real PC's, well my iMac, my 21" Sony monitor and my little 15" monitor.
