Help with getting rid of £20

    on this rare occasion i have £20 to spend :) i wanna get some stuff for me pc, i am trying to get some glow pvc for spiral wrap but i get a 404 error when i click the order now button on the site so that's out of the question :mad: so i am looking at a Ratz pad for £15 off ocs but i need some ideas, got any?? preferably stuff like spiral wrap or somehting to make my case look good :) maybe a round ide cable but my hd is ata/133 and i dunno what cable i need, the only ones i can find are ata66/100 on ocs :confused:

    100 cables will work at ata133 i think :)

    (as ive never seen any 133 cables)

    thanks mate, i havn't seen any ata 133 cables either, do they exist yet?

    prolly not as the 100s will work at 133 ;)

    ATA133 cables are the same as ATA66 or ATA100 cables :)

    well i've ordered a Ratzpad and an 18" bloo rounded ata 66/100 cable from ocs :)

    hey Loopy, let me know how you get on ok? I want to buy a rounded cable but cos they say ATA100 and im using an ATA133 drive, ive been a bit scared of them...let me know if they work!!!!

    well i think those cables are standard ata 66/100....but ive emailed that shop to see what they say...why can i never find a straight answer for this question!

    well mine should be here on tuesday so i'll post then, i am pretty sure ata 66/100 cables work fine with 133 drives cos i have yet to see a 133 cable

    btw unloaded i think that link is for a 66/100 cos erm it says ide ata 66 roun in the link

    u should have got two 80mm alu filters from somewhere like kustom and then drunk the rest :D

    hehe alu filters for what?? and yeah i agree witht he 2nd option but i am 14 and ca't buy it yet :( ah well lol my dad brews cider and wine, we have a cellar full from wall to wall with alcohol :D ;)

    hi again, emailed the only shop ever to sell ATA133 rounded cables and heres what they have to say:

    "You can use an ATA100 cable with a ATA133 drive, the only thing is the drive will down clock to 100MHz. From what I have been reading, as a side note, there is no significant performance loss because the average HD transfer is only 80MHz or so."


    Who knows if this is even true...

    sounds right to me mate, the ata 100 cable is gonna be a bottleneck in a 133 drive but it shouldn't decrease performance that much, i do't even think there is a 133 cable in here now :rolleyes:

    yeah i think my iwill XP333-R mobo was supplied with ata100 cables....u just never know...so ill bet im not getting top performance

    sorry only posted half of what i was thinking... i mean't replacing the sh*tty front filter that comes with the pc65 with two nice alu ones :p

    + find someone to buy u it or make yourself an id ;)

    Tut, tut Alaric, we're meant to be responsible adults here, not condoning underage drinking. Now that doesn't mean I'm not one for the occassional tipple, far from it, I'm yer regular alcoholic :D.
