Curious as to who you folks have used for shipping complete PC's out. Got a machine to go across country, seems as though £50 which would insure it for £1000 is the cheapest quote, seems expensive though?
I've used DPD, UPS and DHL before. As you know it depends on size, weight and value you need insurance for. The UPS pick-up service was efficient once booked but their website is a pain (they have a tracker that was blocked by my Pi-Hole that I had to whitelist temporarily to get it to work). I wouldn't go near Hermes, they tend to use parcels like footballs and leave them in rubbish bins by all accounts I've seen posted here. For a PC costing £1k, I wouldn't skimp on a few quid. The last PC I sent by courier was around £20-£30 for an insurance value of £300 IIRC, the cost does step up as insurance goes up.
