    nah its just the IHS, the heat would just cook the ink and it would fade overtime but I dont see it being that big of an issue at all.

    That wafer reminds me of an episdoe of "American Chopper" - The younger brother 'Mikey' takes a wafer and smashes it over his knee whilst on an Intel tour, the look the guys face is gold whilst the other explains that the wafe represented the 'brains' to over 2000 home computers and what that evaluates too - Discovery channel at its best!

    Any word on when the middle-end Penryn procs are going to be released? I'm waiting with bated breath until the end of this year (literally, I won't be able to buy it afterwards).

    So what does the rest of the line of penryns look like? I'm certainly not going to be going for the CPU that costs as much as my entire system any time soon...

    id like a nice quadcore but some of the prices for a decent one are just beyone silly. maybe this will smash them down a bit :)

    would be really interested to know when and how much a penryn Q6600 equivilent will be available for :D
