This is a bit late but since i've got everything nearly sorted out, I thought I would get this put together. It is still a work in progress, hope you can bare with me as there will be wires going around all over the place.

Ok so since around the year 2000-2001 my room has looked like below. Obviously getting improved on the way and seeing many different pieces of hard ware etc.

As you can see the furniture was black and not fixed with some metal shelving the pc was in the corner of the room

This is where my old tv was with my game cube on top. All them stickers are the stickers that seal the side of xbox games
    [IMG]

That was my old HiFi with my ps2 and xbox.

so this is my old shelve with my dvd's and videos on etc.

And finally of my old room all furnished.
Basicly you can see how much of a mess it was with all the books, fish tank and smellys on the silver frame and then my old hardware etc and speakers. The samurai swords are still in my new room but just took a little trip.

Any way on with the project.

    On with demolition

The first thing I had to do was remove all the old furniture. Once that was done, I could then get on with getting rid of the Skirting board.

Once all the skirting boards were all removed the room started to look a bit empty.

I had to say goodbye to my old TV and make do without one as there was no space for it and the new units would be to cluttered with it on.
    So bye bye TV.

    Update tomorrow.

WHAT!!!! No TV :jawdrop: :jawdrop: :jawdrop: I would go crazy without a tv in the background. You could build the TV into the wall (I did) it looks like a poster now.
anyways looking forward to see what is next.

No TV? Get a flatscreen and mount it onto your wall!

I'll be doing that once I get a new combined draw/wardrobe since I won''t have a draw to put the tv on anymore!

Ok so once I cleared the room out I placed my important pieces of kit safe (Xbox, Xbox 360 and the ps2) on the shelve.
The face plate was created by my self. Can get more pictures if you wish.

This is probably the cleanest my desk ever was.
bet it dont stay that way with my new one

Any way, I started to unpack the new furniture and things were already looking good. Oh by the way yes I have a new carpet as well.

There's kinda no point to have hometheater sounds if the speakers are that close to each other, I strongly recommend to (at any cost) put them wider! Carpet looks nice.

That Logitec speaker system is top notch, what nodel is it? And how much was it?
This is certainly a new concept for a "project log" but im not complaining, its a good one. And BTW are you going to paint the walls?

The walls will stay the same as they were just painted. I thought of the traditional japanese theme in a way. Heres a little pic of why.

    Looking good.
I love those speakers that you have, been trying to get a set for months.
What Jipa said was right though, there really is no use of having such a good setup and having them so close together.
Other than that, its looking sweet.

I've got mine roughly that far apart... Sounds excellent when watching a DVD...

Sorry to thread highjack, but here is my desktop...
The 360 is hooked up to the Dell 2005FPW. Rear speakers are mounted about 6 feet behind me. Also notice the Logitech Harmony 360 on the desk... That thing is my best friend.

Anyway, back on topic, can't wait to see what you do with the room, it's looking promising!

This is a bit of a poor quality photo but oh well. This is the single wardrobe that is going to be in my room. This took me a while as there was a shed load of nails to hammer in. Yes you can see part of my desk and drawer :D
    [IMG]

Again a poor quality photo but this is where all my games and things will be stored, you can see my Xbox 360 at the top and then my graphics card box under.

At the bottom of this small cupboard is another set of draws. The bottom one is a filling draw for all vital paper work ;).
Yes you can see my speaker box; I unpacked them before this photo.

Had a bit of trouble with the door for this above unit, the first one was damaged so had to wait for the new one. Got it sorted and now waiting for handles
    [IMG]

I am currently building another set of draws in this picture below. But that unit is nearly finished. Just needs to be fixed to the wall and handles.

Pictures of my desk and others soon.
