Windows Windows netgear update

    hey

    I have a update for my netgear wpn111 in the windows update, but everytime I update I can not get back on to the net, my wireless adapter can not find my router, it can find another one in the area but can not pick up mine so i have to roll back again to a restore point

    Should i just leave it and not update it or does anyone know how I can sort this prob please?

    I would recommend uninstalling the wireless card completely, then installing the new updated drivers first..prior to plugging the wireless card back in, once everything is installed you can plug in you wifi card.

    If that doesn't work then stick with the old drivers! :D

    It sounds like you are either:

    a) currently using windows to configure your wireless card and the driver update changes it to the netgear config application

    or

    b) currently using the netgear config application and the driver update changes to use windows to configure your wireless card

    Best advice is if your card works fine now, don't bother to update.
