I just ordered a 2007WFP this weekend (hoorah!) so I'm about to join the foray of widescreen goodness on my Mac. Really dumb and REALLY basic question, do they stick in a DVI and/or VGA cable in the box? It's been about 5 years since my last monitor purchase :S

From the bits I've found on the internet, it looks like they ship it with a VGA cable and a DVI-D. Sure someone who's bought one would be able to provide a more definitive answer though.

Yeah I found it a bit weird that they didn't come with power cables, but I have tonnes of spare ones anyway.

As did both my 2005FPW and 2405FPW.

RTT - what are you on about? They come with power cables. Or at least the '05s did; is this some retarded cost-saving move on the '07s?

That's downright bizarre. It must be some sort of silly oversight on Dell's part... I can never seem to find a spare power cable when I need one, even though I have a ton (and they're always about six inches too short).

Didn't come with a power cable! Very odd indeed. Had one spare of course, but it's still a bit weird. Even comes with the USB downstream cable, which is hardly comparitively essential. DVI and VGA cables included, heh.

    Amazing screen, well chuffed :D

Welcome to the club, I joined on Friday with my 2407WFP :)

Only bad flaw so far is that its pretty hard to see when lights striking it. Oh and also that the power button turns off power to the USB as I found out when I turned it off hoping to leave my mp3 player transferring and it cancelled transfer!

Mine was an '05, but didn't come iwth one. I think it must be a UK/US thing. IIRC, it might have come with a European power cable, but that's no use.

I'm hoping to get meself a 2407WFP (maybe two :naughty: ) at the end of this month as well... and I sincerely hope come with power cables :eeek:

Like most others... I've also got plenty of spare kettle leads etc lying around... but that's not the point. What good is a new monitor to ya, without a power cable :wallbash:

Of course... you could ask the same question of a USB printer - very few of which (if any) are supplie with a USB cable as standard

Yup another vote for DVI & VGA but no power cable (my 2407 came without a power lead), whoever the hell thought of that should be shot, as if you can ever get enough kettle leads!

My 2005FPW came with DVI, VGA and Power cables. Nice choice, You'll love them. 20" Widescreen + 12" Powerbook is the best setup :thumb: .

    *ahem*
15" MBP + 24" widescreen is the best setup. For a laptop at least.
