In need of some serious network help

    Hey all,
    One of my desktops refuses to connect to my wireless network after I formatted it. I'm sure the network information I've entered is all present and correct but still no joy. I used the IP Config feature on this PC to gain the IP, subnet mask, and default gateway details so I could enter them onto my other desktop. I selected the 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' option and entered the details manually. It has the exact same IP address, subnet mask, default gateway and DNS servers of this PC yet it still refuses to connect.

    My gateway's (Linksys WAG200G) details are fine as far as I can tell so it's clearly me making the mistake. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Not a network expert, but I think therein lies the problem.

    If by that you mean the two desktops have the same IP address, then yes, you will be having trouble connecting with one.

    If you mean it has the same IP address it had before, then what've you tried?

    Restarting the router, for example?

    Tried having it grab an IP via DHCP instead of manually assigning?
