    Hello,
My roommate has an Ipod touch. A friend of hers formatted it on a pc and now when my roommate plugs it into her mac it doesn't see it.
I plugged it into my pc (vista 64) and it saw the device right away as an ipod touch.

Not sure what to do for troubleshooting. Once it gets formatted on a pc is there something that has to be done to get it to work on a mac again?

I dont have Itunes on my pc, will I have to download it to fix this?

Thanks for any suggestions if you need more info let me know!

er, you can force it into recovery mode and do a restore on the mac.

BUT. ipod touches aren't like the older ipods which could be windows or mac formatted. they are completely agnostic these days, and a touch should appear under windows or mac regardless of what machine it's originally synced to.

anyway, put it into recovery mode and restore it on the mac. you'll lose everything on the ipod though, so make sure it's easy to put back :)

    +1 at Fod.

The Apple KB link he gave you should sort it out, if you haven't done it already :)

Thanks gents, I ran out of time as I had to drive her to the airport. Guess we will have to try it when she gets back. And then I get back. And we both happen to be home at the same time...

    anyway, thanks!
