Films Orange Wednesday, need the phone?

Does one need to have their orange phone for orange Wednesday codes? I'm sending my wife and mother in law to the pictures tonight for some peace, any one know if i can also pack them off with a code and keep my phone?

 

What I have done in the past is get the code myself, and then send the message on to whoever is going to be using it. But the times I have been to the cinema (which is not very often) they have just asked me for the code and I read it to them.

 

Cool, i'll just forward her the code. If it fails then they can buy another ticket.

 

Done that loads of times, it works!

 

Im on O2 with an iphone, I get my mother to foward me the codes from her phone. They are very suspicious at my local cinema and once grabbed the phone off me! I take no chances, saved her number as "Orange" and set my phone to "Airplane Mode" to hide the carrier name in the corner of the screen.

 

I thought so? I usually just get my friends to send me theirs

Why do you need orange phone for orange Wednesday codes?

 

Only Orange customers can make use of the Orange Wednesday offer. They text "film" to 241 using their Orange mobile and Orange send them a code which allows 2 people in for the price of 1. You dont actually need the phone though, just the code.
