Im curious if it be possible to run an Intel NUC i5(4250U) from say a big li-ion battery pack? Not ideal I guess, but possible?

Power consumption of the NUC is 8W/idle and 24W/load

In technical docs Intel states that the input range for NUC is 12-24V (internal DC connector, not external JACK, double check specs for your model of NUC), so yes, it should be possible to power it from 4/5 cell lipo pack. You'll also need some sort of protection circuit to prevent over discharge.

Thanks. Im going to test with a li-ion 4-pack, see if I get enough run time to make it worth it.
