Got a couple of new toys today to make my life a little bit better. Bought another 512MB of RAM, a DVD burner, and a new WiFi card (811.g), so now I can stream media over the LAN without bogging down my main rig. It seems strange that I am purchasing stuff for the comp that my brother will be using until I get back from deployment, but it has its benefits for me, if only for a couple of weeks. Right now I'm in the midst of copying my entire DVD collection to take with me on the boat. It's a lot better to have a backup copy go missing than the original, not to mention it will allow me to free up some hdd space so I can turn one of my drives (probably the 160GB) into my portable media drive (i.e. super duper jumpdrive) in an external enclosure. We'll see what happens in the next week or so...
