Graphics A dumb question - comparing video cards for new rig

OK so I'm somewhat out of date when it comes to graphics cards ... I'm putting together a new rig, and am trying to decide what's best for me (probably with budget of £60-£75 max).

I'm considering the following:

Gigabyte GF 7300GT Turbo 256MB DDR2 for £58 (particularly appealing cos it has a silent heat pipe rather than a fan, and I'd like the new PC to be as quiet as possible)

Sparkle GF 7600GS SLI 256MB DDR2 for £69

Gainward GeForce Bliss 7600GS 256MB DDR3 for £77

Any thoughts? Would I notice much difference going for one or other of these? Any others I should consider?

Take one of the 7600GS's, only difference between them is the memory speed, (DDR2 / DDR3) the 7300gt has turbocache memory? Which means it will steal some of your RAM.

 

The 7300GT doesn't have turbo-cache, you would probably want to get the Gainward Bliss, as it performs as well as a 7600GT from the benchmarks I've seen(X-bit labs a while back). It is actually a decent improvement over the GDDR2 versoin, and for less then 10 pounds more it would be worth it.

 

Regular 7300GT have a core speed of 2800+437 and 11.5GB/s memory bandwidth; 350/716 8pipe 5vertex 128bitDDR 90nm. Standard 7600GS have core 4800+500 and 11.2GB/s RAM; 400/700 12pipe 5vertex 128bitDDR 90nm. The 7600GT are much faster and cost little more, core 6720+700 with 22.4GB/s RAM; 560/1400 12pipe 5vertex 128bitDDR 90nm. If you can stretch to a 7900GS they are really sweet and very overclockable; core 9000+788 with 42.2GB/s RAM; 450/1320 20pipe 7vertex 256bitDDR 90nm (common o/c around 580mhz, +29%). If you're happy to consider Radeons the X1600XT, X1650Pro, X1650XT and X1950Pro are all sweet cards too. I would seriously try stretching to at least a 7600GT or X1650XT as they are all well worth the extra money.
