He got the fully loaded Titanium X model, a Zetec is much less and retains most of the Ti X's abilities. http://www.ford.co.uk/Cars/Fiesta/Models

Because it personifies every *****/idiot/moron you ever met on the road that can't drive? I felt sorry for the other Ukrainians trying to get on with their lives having Richard Hammond weave around like a nob-end.

I think that was the point. They were taking the piss out of all the morons on the roads in the UK.

Yes, there are people who drive around in 2nd gear (I know someone who just had to have a new gearbox in a 12 month old Z4 because they f**ked it driving around in 2nd gear). Yes, there are people who drive off with their boot open. Yes, there are people who stop/start. Yes, there are people who drive around with complete disregard to others. Yes, there are people who weave around seemingly unable to keep in their own lane (usually they're checking their phones).

In that regard, it was quite clever. Because all of these drivers exist on UK roads.

I need something to watch on the train :p

Plus, TG can go from mindless crap to really great in 30 second flips :p

I don't watch reality shows. I don't need a reality show of crap drivers :p

    Awwww whyyy?? lol

Also, I can't find a super/turbocharged (I'm sure they said it was, only Clarksons Up! had no extra help in the engine department) Sandero for £7500 on their site either?? I can't find it on any
Sandero model actually, unless i'm totally thick. haha.

I liked it, should have done more around Chernobyl definitely.

And the Daytona 675 has 123hp. And the R6 has 130HP from 600cc. And the MV F3 has about 135 from 675cc.... yet they'd all be beyond useless in a car :)

I'm not actually talking about overall performance (car versus bike) just the power output, considering that it's been possible to get 100bhp from a normally aspirated 1000cc motor and maintain reliability and reasonable mpg for at least 20 years I'm just surprised it took the car industry so long.

Still more than my Up! (seems Jezza had same spec as me) - approx £12K inc 3 years servicing.

Looks quite useful to me :p

The Triumph was just an example, 100+bhp from a 1000cc motor is easily achievable with a usable power band, reasonable mpg and reliability, especially with modern engine management systems, as I said previously, I'm just surprised it took the car industry so long.

The engine they had was the tce 90 which is a 900cc turbocharged unit, its available for about 7.5k.

Seems very good value for the economy.

Anyone interested in the P1 test by Chris Harris should check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kb8tGX-HPQE

I'm probably more gobsmacked than I was before. What a remarkable piece of British engineering. :eeek:

Why are they advertising the fact it has a live real axle?

Reminder for everyone about tonight's show.

Jeremy Clarkson celebrates the return of the handcrafted, coachbuilt car with a trip to Italy to drive the achingly beautiful and incredibly rare Alfa Romeo-based Touring Disco Volante. Richard Hammond attacks the dunes of Abu Dhabi in a remarkable new six-wheeled Mercedes called the G63 6x6, while James May makes a rare trip to the test track to try out the intriguingly minimalist Caterham 160 and its insanely fast sister, the 620R. Also in the show, comedian Jack Whitehall tries his hand as the star in the Reasonably Priced Car.

Haha, great show tonight. Just a show about cars (G-Class 6x6 and Alfa / Touring DiscoVolante were great), with a little of studio padding - but good studio padding and no dodgy acting. Fabulous. :)
