Keep on eye out for the Dell deals. There have been some real crackers (and astonishing misprices in the past which Dell have honoured). I got myself a new (not Dell outlet) XPS1730 for about £500 off a few years ago. Instant £400 profit on scumBay :p

There are some great deals to be had on the Sony Vaio VPCEB3F4E/WI - what I really love about these is the full keyboard with number-pad, and the great build quality.

the dells are really solid as-well, i had an inspiron something or other 3 years ago that had half my ceiling fall on it and the bloody thing still worked, all that was wrong with was a key was missing, mind i took the opportunity to tell my housing ass that it was behaving erratically after so they replaced with a slightly higher spec acer.....worst mistake of my life:sigh:
