    Completely off topic here - worth the risk of being banned!

    Basically, my mother died 2 1/2 years ago, and instilled the Spirit of christmas in me. As a tribute to her, I want to put my christmas tree, decorations - the whole thing up NOW. Unfortunatly my (sensible?) wife has said "NO!".

    But she did agree that if I got 10,000 likes on a Facebook page, she'd agree.

    All I'm asking for is your "like".

    This kind of gesture really confuses me. Would it not be more meaningful/rewarding to invest the energy and time in charity work or community service? I guess it must have something to do with my upbringing/family.

    It shows that I like it, so thats one, if more people like it it will show up as 19 people like this. If I looks at it, it will show as you and 18 people like this.

    I just liked it for ya, so you have 12 now. At this rate you can atleast put your christmas lights up early in 10 - 15 years :p.

    I've liked it for you mate, for the circumstances i will.

    However me personally i would put them up christmas evae and won boxing day if i had my way or not put them up at all but my wife says not a chance
