    I'm after a tiny laptop which will allow me to do web programming, word processing while i'm out and about. I like the look of the Sony Vaios - C1 series, TR1MP and U101.

    Are there any non Sony offerings worth considering that offer enough processing power for the above requirements?

    the sony X505 is really awesome, and tiny (the smallest avail i think)
    availible in carbon fibre as well :baby:

    costs the earth though

    whats the budget? any particular reason you want non-sony?

    id recomend the ibm X series , nice and light weight with good battery life.

    think the latest model is the X31

    The X505 is nice but expensive, and the actual footprint is still fairly average.

    No reason for non Sony other than I'm sure there are some i've not thought of.

    I'll take a look at the X31 - thanks!
