I know 2.5" drives are thin, however, they are more expensive and don't have high capacity. Does anyone know if you can get 3.5" drives which are thin, or at least thinner than normal?
Thickness depends on how many platters you have. I have an 80GB (1 platter) Seagate HD here which is 20mm thick, I have another Seagate HD which is 320GB (3 platters) which is 26mm thick. Hope that helps.
160GB Seagate 7200.10's are. We've got a couple here and they are single platter so made much thinner.
cool, I thought they were all the same thickness, probably because I always buy higher capacity drives and just see the thicker ones. 20mm could work for what i want to do, thanks for that!
