is this normal? just browsing webpages where there are white parts which span the whole screen, i noticed the whites at the bottom of the screen are not as bright, slightly muddier? is this normal?
maybe you are viewing the monitor from too close of a distance or also from an angle? See if the issue fixes itself when you view the monitor from a few feet away and with your eyes perpendicular to the monitor.
Uneven backlighting. That pretty much explains it. Unless of course it's tilted, but if you want to test it, get a test screen that makes the monitor entirely black. If you see brighter spots in the black display, then it's uneven backlighitng. Common on most montiors actually. Even the expensive NECs I've seen have a bit here and there.
oh thats a shame. yeah i guessed on an expensive one it wouldnt be there that being said, i had brightness on 15/100 just realised, and i put it back to where i normally have it at 35 and it is much less noticeable but it is still there a little
is it LED? on my older Asus laptop I had the same problem at the bottom where the LEDs are. for me it helped to turn down the brightness level.
