To add to the 'check your battery' list, if you have a Dell Latitude 7240, 7240, 7450, 7270, 7470, 7280 or 7480, there's a good chance that just before or after the 1yr battery warranty it will start to inflate to a hilarious degree (but may or may not trip the BIOS battery health indicator). My experience has been that these failures occur in batches, so I'll have a floor deployed where everything is fine, and another where you can walk past several rows of desks with balloon laptops, so I can;t give a useful x% failure estimate. Not that I'd recommend ANY of those models regardless (or Dell laptops in general), but if you've been stuck with one be aware.
